The designer wears Lumen Audrey Coat. The foundation of the design came from a Vogue pattern for a swing coat. I redesigned the sleeve and edited the body of the coat to make a feature of folds to the upper section. The changes were inspired by Japanese aesthetics and architectural form, with the emotional score of the design one of a protective embrace. Before the modifications the coat weighed 1100 grams. With the changes, the weight has been reduced to just under 700 grams, making it lighter to wear while still retaining the movement and sense of luxury of a fuller garment.
